:::FEATURED ARTISTS:::

XTACI (Grand Hustle)

Want an inside peek inside the lives of T.I.'s hot girls, Xtaci?

"People don’t realize it but there wasn’t even a Grand Hustle when we first got with the guys, it was all of us, together rolling PSC,” proudly Bola pounds her fist on the table and smiles. “And there was no studio back then. The studio was in Tip and Jay’s apartment.”

“They (PSC) taught us how to be women. They taught us, this is how we treat women that act like that, so if you don’t want to get treated like that, don’t act like that. Kuntry, Dro, Mac Boney, they watched us grow as women from little fifteen year olds to now. When they met us we wasn’t even having sex,” explains Sunshine. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE...........

ATL's got a new up and coming Spike Lee on it's hands....

“I think it is time that Atlanta grows, not so much in music but on a bigger level such as film industry. The film industry is just now getting ready to take off. True, we have Tyler Perry and Ryan Glover at Turner Broadcasting. However, I think Atlanta as a whole is ready to grow, we have the scenery and the people, let’s draw a niche in that way and give the world more films made in Atlanta.” -Rob "Kaspa" Smith

Hittmenn Djs President, Rob “Kaspa Da Don” Smith is already a veteran among Atlanta’s elite “movers and shakers”. Ask anyone about his vigorous work ethic and you will get an ear full. In 2008, Smith is going to take the same hustle that made his name big in the music industry to the big screen.

Smith is on an all out “grind mission” that will include directing the movie he wrote and produced titled Off Tha Hook, and producing and starring in a comedy DVD.

“I am free. Everything that I want to do and anything that I want to create, I feel as though I can attain it,” says the mogul, reclining into a lush leather chair while feverishly texting on his Side Kick. “I am a writer and a visionary. So when it comes to production, I am able to conquer whatever I set my sights on.” CLICK TO READ MORE.......

:::THATS MY DJ

MANDATORY READING IF YOU ARE IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY!

DJ Bigga Rankin has some advice for how we can make the music industry better in 2008! CLICK

HUSTLE 101: Terrence Huggins, CEO T.H.E. Booking Agency

"For a lot of Southern artists their business is done exclusively out of New York and L.A. I think there is a void right now Southern artists shouldn’t have to go to New York or L.A. to do their business, we can do everything in-house down here in the south. We deserve to have it all right here and there is plenty of capable talent." -Terrence Huggins

I think now the music industry is changing a lot of people underestimate the importance of a booking agency. Artists are not selling as many records as they used and because of that tours have become the prime source of income for every artist.

With that in mind, you want to have a strong team working in the area that is going to make you the most money, the old 80/20 rule. You want a strong team doing your booking.

When you hire a booking agency, you want to pay attention to THESE FIVE things:

1. Look at the booking agency’s distribution, you want to know how big the scope of the booking agent’s territory is. Because my clients are big, I have an international territory. You want to know the reach. CLICK TO READ MORE.......

What is the ATL Report? It is the newsletter promoting HOT talent (of all kinds) in and "around" Atlanta, GA. I just ask that the artists featured are doing business and financially supporting the Atlanta music scene......it is poppin' here, you kinda have to admit! Who am I? A writer. A communicator. A music junkie. In this day and age it is possible for a young woman to study the game, learn it well, amass her OWN database systems and promote. I promise if you continue sending your artists, information, and resources my way I will continue to spread the word. I have alot of cool friends who read this. lucreativegroup@yahoo.com (hit me).
